MARK S. CUDDY – in Woburn, March 7th. Beloved father of Sean M. and Stephen M. Cuddy, both of Woburn. Loving son of William J. Cuddy of Whitman and the late Maureen (King) Cuddy. Devoted brother of William J. Cuddy III and his wife Ellen of Whitman and Brian E. Cuddy and his wife Regina of Stoughton. Also lovingly survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday, March 12th at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, No. Woburn at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

OBITUARY

Mark S. Cuddy, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 7th at Winchester Hospital. The beloved son of William and the late Maureen (King) Cuddy, he was fifty years of age. Born in Boston, Mark attended Christopher Columbus High School, graduated from Newman Prep and went on to attend Emerson College.

The proud father of two sons, Sean and Stephen, Mark was all about his children. He shared his love of sports with them, particularly skating and snowboarding. Mark loved the outdoors and vacationed with his family every summer at Hampton Beach and enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at Loon Mountain in the winter. He was also an avid reader and a lover of music and never missed an opportunity to attend a concert with his sons, who played the drums and bass guitar in the basement of their home.

A licensed journeyman pipefitter, Mark was a member of the Pipefitter’s Union #537. He worked for Limbach HVAC Services in Woburn for over fifteen years and more recently was employed by Fred Williams Company as a HVAC contractor.

Mark was a generous, kind man who possessed a wonderful sense of humor and was very well respected by his family and all those who knew him.

Mark was predeceased by his mother Maureen (King) Cuddy.

He is survived by his father, William Cuddy of Whitman, his sons, Sean M. and Stephen M. Cuddy, both of Woburn, his brothers, William J. Cuddy III and his wife Ellen of Whitman and Brian E. Cuddy and his wife Regina of Stoughton.

    I know the coming weeks and month’s will be difficult for all especially Sean and Stephen.
    Your Uncles were a great support system for you the other day and I hope you allow them to help you through the next few month’s. When we grew up together, family was always paramount, it started and ended there. When we face our darkest days it is the family that can pick you up and make things a little better.
    Doc and I had some adventures together back in the day. He was always quick to laugh and warm and compassionate towards others. I’ll miss you doc!

    We are SO sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a wonderful man who loved you two more than life itself. He was a caring and giving person that just wanted the best for his two sons.   6. To the entire family: My sympathy goes out to all of you. I, as well as others in my family have great memories of us all growing up in Mattapan. Many good laughs together. Over the years we tend not to see each other as often but the love and feelings never go away. We will miss Stephen,(never could get used to calling him Mark).   10. Mark (Doc) (Cud) (Steve) ( Stevie) (Stephen) Cuddy Was a great cousin and friend of mine Mark left me with many memories growing up with so many laughs.
    He will be deeply missed. I’ll never forget Some of the memories we shared growing up on Rexford St.Mark was truly a great guy and an honor to call a relative and friend. Mark Stephen touched many people in his life and made us all laugh and smile one time or another.
