LUCY A.(RAY)CORSETTI- in Woburn, Friday, February 23rd, beloved wife of Dominic Corsetti. Devoted mother of Fran Tancreti and her husband Roger of VA. Cherished sister of the late Lena Cardaleen, Mary Lavacchia, Florence Meehan, Joseph Ray Jr. and Anna Massaro. Loving grandmother of David Tancreti and his wife Sandy of VA and Laura Tancreti Mulreany and her husband Michael of HI and great grandson, Liam Mulreany. Also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, February 28th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, No. Woburn at 10. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Lucy’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.

OBITUARY:

Lucy A.( Ray ) Corsetti, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away suddenly at Winchester Hospital on Friday evening, February 23rd. The beloved wife of Dominic Corsetti, she was eighty-eight years of age.

Born in Woburn, Lucy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Chester) Ray. She was educated in the Woburn Public Schools along with her five siblings. In 1939, Lucy married her husband, Dominic, to whom she was lovingly devoted for nearly sixty-eight years. They resided in Woburn where they raised their daughter.

In addition to caring for her family and her home, Lucy also worked along side her husband in his oil business. Lucy’s devotion to caring for others extended well beyond her family. She assisted friends and strangers alike, whatever their needs.

Lucy was also extremely active in St. Anthony’s Parish and a member of the St. Anthony’s Ladies Auxiliary. In her leisure, she loved to cook, golf and play Bingo. Cooking was her specialty and many wonderful meals were shared throughout the years with her family and friends. Shopping was also a favorite pastime, one that she loved to share with her daughter. In later years, Lucy and Dominic traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe.

Lucy was predeceased by her siblings, Lena Cardaleen, Mary Lavacchia, Florence Meehan, Joseph Ray Jr. and Anna Massaro.

She is survived by her daughter, Fran Tancreti and her husband Roger of Virginia, her grandchildren, David Tancreti and his wife Sandy of Virginia and Laura Tancreti Mulreany and her husband Michael of Hawaii and her great-grandson, Liam Mulreany. Also surviving are many dear nieces and nephews.
