Mary Alyce was born in Danville, Illinois on February 15, 1921 and raised in Logansport, Indiana. She served in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II where she met her husband. They were married in 1944 in Hondo, Texas and traveled extensively during the sixty-two years of their marriage, owing to Alexander’s military career. Eventually they settled in Buzzard’s Bay, Mass.

Along with her husband Alexander, she leaves three children: Kathie of Vienna, Virginia, John of Darien, Connecticut, and Anne of Needham, and her sister Emma of Peru, Indiana. Dear Al:

I tried many times to locate you and Mary but had no success. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. We had so many good times together. Harry and I talked about you so often. He missed your golf matches.

Having lost my dear husband over a year ago, I know how hard it is for you.
