EDWARD J. CLARK – in Woburn, December 12th. Beloved husband of June C. (O’Connell) Clark. Devoted father of Edward J. Clark, Jr. and his wife Karen of Westford, Lisa Clark-Brousseau and her husband Bryan Wojcik of Londonderry, NH, and Susan R. Hollis and her husband Patrick of Wakefield. Father-in-law of the late Rick Brousseau. Dear brother of Catherine Donoghue of Medford and the late William and Joseph Clark. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey, Rebecca and Cassandra Clark, Tamarah and Merissa Brousseau, & Kara and Kevin Hollis. Brother-in-law of Marie Burns and her husband Robert of Woburn and Hazel Clark of Medford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, December 15th at 9 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mr. Clark’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

OBITUARY:

Edward J. Clark, a resident of Woburn’s west side for nearly fifty years, passed away in Winchester on Tuesday, December 12th, following a brief illness. The husband of June C. (O’Connell) Clark, he was seventy-six years of age.

Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Rice) Clark. He was a graduate of Medford High School and received a degree in Engineering from Northeastern University.

A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He worked as a quality control engineer for BASF Corporation in Bedford until his retirement eleven years ago. Previously he had been associated with KYBE and Honeywell.

Mr. Clark enjoyed being home with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Over the years they vacationed at Wells Beach and in Ogunquit, Maine. He loved to read and was an avid hockey and football fan. He and his wife June, with whom he celebrated fifty years of marriage this past May, were active in St. Barbara’s Parish for many years.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, William and Joseph Clark, and his son-in-law, Rick Brousseau.

Surviving in addition to his wife June are a son, Edward J. Clark, Jr. and his wife Karen of Westford, two daughters, Lisa Clark-Brousseau and her husband Bryan Wojcik of Londonderry, NH, and Susan R. Hollis and her husband Patrick of Wakefield, and a sister, Catherine Donoghue of Medford, and sisters-in-law Marie Burns and her husband Robert of Woburn and Hazel Clark of Medford.

He was also the loving grandfather of Jeffrey, Rebecca and Cassandra Clark, Tamarah and Merissa Brousseau, & Kara and Kevin Hollis. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, December 15th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mr. Clark’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
