CATHERINE T. “KAY” (DONAHUE) BEAUCHAMP – in Woburn, October 24, beloved wife of the late Arthur H. Beauchamp. Devoted mother of Joan M. Beauchamp of Woburn, Arthur J. Beauchamp of NH, Regina Ericksen of Haverhill, Joseph W. Beauchamp of NH, and Paul T. Beauchamp of NH. Dear sister of MaryLou Mohyde of Stoneham and the late Joseph and William Donahue. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, October 28th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Beauchamp’s memory to the Woburn Senior Center, 144 School Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

OBITUARY:

Catherine T. “Kay???(Donahue) Beauchamp, a life long Woburn resident, passed away quietly Tuesday afternoon at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center with her family by her side. The beloved wife of the late Arthur H. Beauchamp, she was eighty-five years of age.

Born in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Regan) Donahue. She attended Woburn Public schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School Class of 1939. In her early 20’s she married her beloved husband, Arthur, and they made their home in the Pleasant Street area of Woburn.

In addition to maintaining her home and raising five children, “Kay???, as she was affectionately known, was the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, A. Beauchamp Disposal. Not only was Kay devoted to her family, she also dedicated herself to the community through her volunteer work.

For many years she volunteered for Woburn Senior Citizens where she was a member, the Council for the Aging, the Red Cross Bloodmobile, Winchester Hospital and the Share Program at the Lutheran Church which provided food services for those in need.

Throughout her life, Kay exemplified a spirit of courage, generosity and giving.

Kay was predeceased by her husband, Arthur H. Beauchamp, who passed away in 1987 and her brothers, Joseph and William Donahue.

She is survived by her children, Joan M. Beauchamp of Woburn, Arthur J. Beauchamp of NH, Regina Ericksen of Haverhill, Joseph W. Beauchamp of NH, and Paul T. Beauchamp of NH, her sister, MaryLou Mohyde of Stoneham, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
