CARL J. DEMATO -in Woburn, October 20th, beloved husband of Barbara A. (McDonough) DeMato. Loving father of Matthew, James and Reanna. Dear brother of Joseph Salera of NH and Tracy Donahue of Saugus. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, October 26th, at 9 :00 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Carls’ memory to the Children of Carl Demato Fund, c/o Northern Bank and Trust, 303 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

OBITUARY:

Carl J. DeMato, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away unexpectedly on Friday at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center. The beloved husband of Barbara A. (McDonough) DeMato, he was thirty-one years of age. Born in Lynn, Carl was the son of the late James DeMato. His family moved to Woburn when he was a young boy where he attended the Woburn Public Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School. He worked locally and most recently has been employed in the plumbing industry.

In 1998, he married his wife Barbara and they remained in Woburn where they have been raising their three children. Carl was an extremely proud father and he enjoyed talking about and showing photos of his children. In his leisure he loved playing darts and fishing. He often took his children to Harold Parker Forest in No. Reading and Horn Pond in Woburn. As a family they recently traveled to Florida where they toured the Everglades.

Carl was predeceased by his father, James DeMato.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children, Matthew, James and Reanna, his siblings, Joseph Salera of NH and Tracy Donahue of Saugus and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
