ALBERT C.”Albie”, “Grampy” LEOMBRUNO – in Woburn,formerly of Watertown and Waltham, Thursday, October 19th. Beloved husband of Nancy M. (Barbera) Leombruno. Devoted father of Debra Sheehan and her husband Richard of Pembroke, Janice Gigante and her husband Richard of Medford, Nancy Donovan of Westminster, Barbara Beaulieu of NH, Joan O’Connell and her husband John of Woburn and stepfather of Robin Coiley of CA, William and Neal Coiley of Arlington, Lynne Coiley of Woburn and Nancy Lake of Burlington. Dear brother of Rose DiCenzo of Woburn, Louis L. Leombruno of Dennis, Charles Leombruno of FL and the late Claire LaPointe. Loving grandfather of sixteen grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Monday, October 23rd, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn at 10. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in “Albie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Road, Malden, MA 02148.

OBITUARY:

Albert C. “Albie” Leombruno of Woburn, formerly of Watertown and Waltham, passed away early Thursday morning at Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield. The beloved husband of Nancy M. (Barbera) Leombruno, he was seventy-seven years of age. “Albie” as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was the son of the late Camillo and Mora (English) Leombruno. He was born and raised in Watertown where he was a graduate of Watertown High School. Following High School he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the 3rd infantry out of Fort Myers, VA. Upon completion of his military obligation, he resided in Waltham, where he raised his five daughters.

A carpenter by profession, Albie was employed as a foreman for Thorenson Forms in Readville where he successfully ran operations for the construction of various building projects. He retired in 1989. His love of building also carried over to his home where he enjoyed working around the house.

In 1985, Albie married Nancy M. (Barbera), to whom he was devoted for twenty-one years. Together they enjoyed traveling often times with friends and visited Aruba, which was one of Albie’s favorite destinations.

In later years, Albie or “Grampy” loved spending time with his grandchildren and followed their school and sporting activities closely attending their soccer, baseball, basketball and softball games.

Albie was predeceased by his sister Claire LaPointe.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his daughters, Debra Sheehan of Pembroke, Janice Gigante of Medford, Nancy Donovan of Westminster, Barbara Beaulieu of NH, Joan O’Connell of Woburn, his stepchildren, Robin Coiley of CA, William and Neal Coiley of Arlington, Lynne Coiley of Woburn and Nancy Lake of Burlington, his siblings, Rose DiCenzo of Woburn, Louis L. Leombruno of Dennis and Charles Leombruno of FL,sixteen grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
