JOHN S. CSOKMAY, JR. – age 44, of Denver, CO, formerly of Woburn, June 26th. Beloved son of Maureen White of Methuen, formerly of Woburn, and John S. Csokmay of Salem, NH, formerly of Woburn. Dear brother of David R. Csokmay of Salem, NH, and uncle of Joseph Csokmay of Tewksbury. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Grandson of the late Chester and Marie (McHugh) White of Medford and the late Marie Csokmay of Ohio. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, July 1st, at 8:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. Calling hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.

OBITUARY:

John S. Csokmay, 44, a native of Woburn who had resided in Denver, Colorado in recent years, passed away Monday at Lawrence General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the son of Maureen White of Methuen and John Csokmay of Salem, NH.

John was born in Somerville and grew up in Woburn. He attended St. Charles Elementary School and graduated from Malden Catholic with the Class of 1980. He moved to Ohio and continued his education at Cuyahoga Community College there, learning the travel industry.

His love of traveling led him to work for the airlines, most recently for ATA as a reservations specialist. Previously he had worked for United and Southwest Airlines. He settled in Denver a number of years ago after having lived in Georgia and Florida.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Marie (McHugh) White of Medford and Marie Csokmay of Ohio.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, David R. Csokmay of Salem, NH, and his nephew, Joseph Csokmay of Tewksbury.

Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, July 1st, at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
