CAROLINA A. “CAROLE”(DYDZULIS) MELANSON – in Woburn, April 22nd, unexpectedly, beloved wife of the late Frederick Melanson. Loving mother of Karen M. Montgomery and her husband Ronald of Stoneham, Richard F. Melanson of Woburn and Gary A. Melanson and his wife Janice of NH and the late John Melanson. Devoted sister of Stella Belushko of Stoughton and the late Stanley Dydzulis. Adoring grandmother of eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home,263 Main St.,Woburn on Tuesday April 25th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St.,Woburn at 10. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Carolina A. “Carole??? (Dydzulis) Melanson, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. The beloved wife of the late Frederick Melanson, as she was eighty-two years of age. Born in Cambridge, Carole, as she was affectionately known, was the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Bundzinski) Dydzulis. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High School. Shortly after high school, she married Frederick Melanson, to whom she was devoted for over fifty-five years. In 1955, Carole and her husband moved to North Woburn where they raised their four children. Carole’s life revolved around her family and she dedicated herself fully to them. She was especially attentive to her eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They celebrated all of the holidays together as well as birthdays and special occasions. In her leisure, Carole enjoyed doing crafts, playing Bingo and the occasional trip to Foxwoods. She was very active in the Woburn Senior Center where she sang weekly and was a longtime member of St. Anthony Parish where she also sang in the church choir for a number of years.

In addition to her husband,Frederick Melanson, Carole was predeceased by her son, John Melanson, who passed away in 2005 and her brother Stanley Dydzulis.

She is survived by her children, Karen M. Montgomery and her husband Ronald of Stoneham, Richard F. Melanson of Woburn and Gary A. Melanson and his wife Janice of NH , her sister, Stella Belushko of Stoughton, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.   1. Your family has experienced multiple losses and heartaches in the past few years, my deepest sorrow to all of you. Carol is in my prayers, as she is now back with Fred. As I have told chrissy her grand-daughter remember the grand times and all of the laughter which there were many of, carol will be deeply missed by many.

    boy you never thought that we would all see the day that our beloved nana would be gone and now that it has came and went we all have sorrow and grief to deal with but knowing nana the way that i did she would not want us to be sad or hurt or suffer but we all shead tears and laughter on that day my god be with her and grampy and uncle john and the rest of the departed members of our family love always

    Brian and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I only met her once at Middleboro, but I know how pleasant and cheery she was when I met her. she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. God Bless you and your family.
