DORIS M. (POWER) QUINN – of Woburn, April 15th. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth G. Quinn. Devoted mother of Carol A. Lagana and her husband Bob of Dedham and the late Kenneth G. Quinn, Jr. Dear sister of Shirley Plummer of Andover and the late John Power and Jean Casey. Loving grandmother of Scott and Beth Lagana, and great-grandmother of Anthony and Ryan. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, April 19th, at 10:30 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 11. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Doris’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.

OBITUARY:

Doris M. Quinn of Woburn passed away in West Roxbury on Saturday, April 15th, following a lengthy illness. The wife of the late Kenneth G. Quinn, she was eighty-three.

Born and raised in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late James and Cecilia (O’Connor) Power. She attended Winchester schools and graduated from Winchester High School. Following her marriage, she lived with her family in Woburn, first on Hilltop Parkway and later Quimby Avenue. For the past few years she had made her home in the Dedham area to be near her daughter.

For over twenty-five years until her retirement at the age of sixty-five, she worked as a secretary for Wang Laboratories.

Doris loved taking care of her garden, and in earlier years traveled extensively throughout the United States with her late husband Kenneth.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, Jr. her brother John Power, and her sister, Jean Casey.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol A. Lagana and her husband Bob of Dedham, her sister, Shirley Plummer of Andover, two grandchildren, Scott and Beth Lagana, and two great-grandsons, Anthony and Ryan Lagana.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, April 19th, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 11. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Donations may be made in Doris’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
