MARILYN R. (TOUCHETTE) NETISHEN WOOLARD – of Woburn, December 8th. Beloved wife of James R. Woolard. Devoted mother of Ruth Ann Abreu and her husband Richard of Woburn, Paul Netishen and his wife Leslie of Burlington, and Michael Netishen and his wife Theresa “Sheri” of Auburn, NH. Dear sister of the late Fr. Paul Touchette of the Maryknoll Missionaries. Loving grandmother of Richard “Rick” Abreu and his wife Kelly and Steven Abreu and his wife Darlene, Jessica, Paul W., and Jaclyn Netishen, and Michael Jr. and Thomas Netishen, and great-grandmother of Nicholas, Brett, and Amanda. Also survived by several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10th, in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marilyn’s memory and in memory of her brother, Fr. Paul Touchette, to the Maryknoll Missions, P.O. OBITUARY:

Marilyn R. Netishen Woolard, a resident of Woburn for most of her life, passed away at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett Thursday evening, December 8th. The wife of James R. Woolard for the past twenty years, she was seventy-nine.

Marilyn was born in Quincy, the daughter of the late Simeon and Ruth (Scully) Touchette. She was raised in Medford and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School.

For many years until her retirement in 1985, she was employed by Houghton-Mifflin Publishing Company in Burlington.

A devoted parishioner of St. Barbara’s Church, she served as a Eucharistic Minister there for many years. She loved spending time at the mall, and was an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Fr. Paul Touchette of the Maryknoll Missionaries, who was stationed in Japan.

In addition to her husband Jim, she leaves a daughter, Ruth Ann Abreu and her husband Richard of Woburn, two sons, Paul Netishen and his wife Leslie of Burlington, and Michael Netishen and his wife Theresa “Sheri” of Auburn, NH, seven grandchildren, seven grandchildren, Richard “Rick” Abreu and his wife Kelly and Steven Abreu and his wife Darlene, Jessica, Paul W., and Jaclyn Netishen, and Michael Jr. and Thomas Netishen, and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brett, and Amanda. She also leaves several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
