BARBARA E. (McCUE) McCALL – in Woburn, November 28th. Beloved wife of Robert E. McCall. Devoted mother of Douglas McCall and his wife Debra of Methuen, Kevin McCall of Woburn, Faith Butler and her husband Tony of Stoneham, and Leah Lawson and her husband Larry of Billerica. Dear sister of James McCue of Woburn, Robert McCue of Concord, David McCue of CT, Shirley Forrester of Londonderry, NH, Jeannette Delesio of FL, and the late Marjorie and Daniel McCue. Also survived by nine grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, & Lindsay McCall, David, Matthew, & Michael McCall, Taylor Butler, and Mistie and Jake Lawson. A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, December 1st at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to the VNA Middlesex East, 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.

OBITUARY:

Barbara E. (McCue) McCall, a lifelong Woburn resident, passed away early Monday, November 28th, following a long illness. She was the wife of Robert E. McCall for over fifty-six years.

Born in Woburn seventy-eight years ago, she was the daughter of the late James and Leah V. (Carter) McCue. She grew up in Woburn and attended Woburn schools.

Barbara worked as a sales associate for many years for Boston Dress Company, as well as several other women’s clothing stores. She loved to travel with her husband in earlier years and was an aerobics enthusiast throughout her life until just a few years ago. She was a member of many bowling leagues including the Immaculate Conception Church bowling league.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Daniel McCue, and a sister, Marjorie McCue.

Surviving in addition to her husband Robert are two sons, Douglas McCall and his wife Debra of Methuen and Kevin McCall of Woburn, two daughters, Faith Butler and her husband Tony of Stoneham, and Leah Lawson and her husband Larry of Billerica, three brothers, James McCue of Woburn, Robert McCue of Concord, and David McCue of Connecticut, and two sisters, Shirley Forrester of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Jeannette Delesio of Florida. She also leaves nine beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, & Lindsay McCall, David, Matthew, & Michael McCall, Taylor Butler, and Mistie and Jake Lawson.

A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, December 1st at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

    I’m so sorry to read about your mother. Whenever we bumped into one another, she never failed to stop and chat and let me know how your doing. She was a wonderful person.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you. You were a great husband to Barbara. At least she is in a better place now with no more suffering. The both of you were very special people to my parents John and Mildred Gunning they adored the two of you very much. Now they will meet again up in heaven.
