ANN M. (DOHERTY) REIL – in Woburn, Tuesday, July 19th. Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Reil. Devoted mother of Ann Weeks of Candia, NH. Dear sister of the late John, Dan, Hugh, Philip and James Doherty. Loving grandmother of four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, on Saturday, July 23rd at 8:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 9. Calling hours Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Ann M. Reil, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away Tuesday, July 19th at Green Briar Terrace in NH. The beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Reil, she was ninety-four years of age.

Born in Woburn, Ann was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Doherty. Ann was educated in Woburn and was a graduate of St. Charles High School. As a young woman, Ann learned the value of hard work as she helped out with the family business, Doherty’s Dairy at Blue Valley Farm in Woburn.

After Ann was married she and her late husband Frederick remained in Woburn, where she raised her daughter. She had a great love of the ocean and Ann and her family would enjoy excursions to Salisbury Beach. At home, she loved to cook and everyone enjoyed her homemade meals.

In addition to caring for her family and her home she maintained a home cleaning business, serving several residents in the Winchester area. After Ann’s husband Frederick passed away in January of last year, she relocated to New Hampshire, where she resided with her miniature schnauzer, “Freda???.

Ann was predeceased by her husband Frederick J. Reil and her brothers, John, Dan, Hugh, Philip and James.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Weeks of NH, four grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, July 23rd at 8:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 9. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
