VIRGINIA M. (LAMBERT) FERRANTE – of Woburn, June 30th. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Ferrante. Devoted mother of Janice Morse and her husband George of Wilmington and the late Alfred R. Lambert. Mother-in-law of Jeannette Lambert of Tewksbury. Sister of Audrey Winkler and her husband Wayne of Florida, and the late ‘Buster’, Albert, and Bernard Lambert. Also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, July 6th, at 8:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. Calling hours Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Cambridge Cemetery. Donations may be made in Virginia’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

OBITUARY:

Virginia M. (Lambert) Ferrante passed away on Wednesday, June 30th, at the Blair House in Tewksbury. She was the wife of the late Joseph Ferrante.

Born in Boston ninety-five years ago, she was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Pearl (Orsgood) Lambert. She was raised in the Allston-Brighton area where she attended school. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to Medford for a brief time and then to Burlington, where they raised and educated their two children.

For over twenty-five years Mrs. Ferrante, who was a very dedicated nurse, worked at the Choate Memorial Hospital in the Nursery assisting and caring for all the newborns.

Mr. Ferrante passed away in the mid ‘70’s and in 1976 Mrs. Ferrante moved to Clearwater Florida, where she made her home until just two years ago. While in Florida she thoroughly enjoyed being visited by her family, spending time with her dear friends, playing Bingo, Marjon, and choosing different restaurants at which to dine.

Mrs Ferrante was predeceased by her husband John, son Alfred R. Lambert and her brothers Buster, Albert, and Bernard Lambert

Mrs. Ferrante is survived by her loving daughter Janice “Jan??? V. Morse and her husband George of Wilmington, her sister, Audrey Winkler and her husband Wayne of Florida, and daughter-in-law Jeannette Lambert of Tewksbury, along with ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday morning July 6th, at 8:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 9.

Interment will be at Cambridge City Cemetery, Cambridge.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
