ANNA M. (McDONOUGH) RILEY – in Woburn, June 26th. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Riley. Dear sister of Elizabeth I. “Lee” McGann of Woburn and the late Francis P. McDonough and Mary E. Cain. Loving aunt of George Cain, Sheila Wiitala, and Maureen McGann, all of Woburn, Joanne Pecci of Stoneham, Barbara Hubert and Paul McDonough, both of NH, Thomas J. “TJ” McDonough of Tyngsboro, and Mary (Cain) Murphy of Haverhill. Also survived by 18 grandnieces and nephews and 21 great-grandnieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, July 1st, at 10:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 11. Calling hours Wednesday 5 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Anna’s memory to the Seton Guild, c/o St. Anthony Parish Rectory, 80 Elm Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

OBITUARY:

Anna M. (McDonough) Riley of Woburn passed away on Saturday, June 26th, at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Wilmington at the age of eighty-nine. She was the wife of the late Bernard Riley, who died in 1985.

She was born in Woburn in 1915 to the late Coleman and Annie (Costello) McDonough. She attended Woburn schools and graduated from Woburn High School in 1933.

Anna was devoted to her nieces, nephews, and later her grandnieces and nephews. She was a daily communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of the Seton Guild of St. Anthony.

Along with her husband Bernard, she was preceded in death by a brother, Francis P. McDonough, and a sister, Mary E. Cain.

Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth I. “Lee” McGann of Woburn, her nieces and nephews, George Cain, Sheila Wiitala, and Maureen McGann, all of Woburn, Mary (Cain) Murphy of Haverhill, Joanne Pecci of Stoneham, Thomas “TJ” McDonough of Tyngsboro, and Barbara Hubert and Paul McDonough, both of New Hampshire.

She also leaves eighteen grandnieces and nephews and twenty-one great-grandnieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, July 1st, at 10:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 11. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
