PHYLLIS A. (COSSETTE) CURRY – in Burlington, formerly of Woburn, June 21st. Beloved wife of Walter T. Curry. Devoted mother of Michele L. Annino and her husband Brian P. of Billerica and the late Timothy K. Curry. Dear sister of Edward Cossette of Bolton, Charlotte Taylor of Nashua, NH and the late Richard Cossette. Loving grandmother of Timothy B. Annino. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Thursday, June 24th at 8:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 9. Calling hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment is private. Donations may be made in Phyllis’ memory to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts Street, Suite 450, Newton, MA 02160.

OBITUARY:

Phyllis A. (Cossette) Curry passed away quietly at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton on Monday, June 21st, with her family by her side. The beloved wife of Walter T. Curry, she was sixty-seven years of age.

Born in Winchester, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Phillip V. and Charlotte M.(McCue) Cossette. Raised and educated in Woburn, Phyllis was a graduate of Woburn High School. After graduating, Phyllis worked for an electronics manufacturer before moving to New York, where she was employed by Albert Einstein College as a Lab Technician.

Upon returning to Woburn a few years later, she met and marrired her husband Walter Curry, and in 1968 they moved to Burlington where they made their home.

Her family was most important to her and she remained at home during those years to raise her son and daughter. Phyllis was a terrific bowler and was well known at the Woburn Bowladrome where won a number of trophies. Phyllis and her husband also enjoyed traveling throughout the country, visiting the west coast and Las Vegas.

In later years, she cherished spending time with her grandson who was the “apple of her eye???.

Phyllis was predeceased by her son, Timothy K. Curry who passed away at the age of twenty-seven, and her brother Richard Cossette.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Walter T. Curry, her daughter, Michele Annino and her husband Brian P. of Billerica, her brother, Edward Cossette of Bolton, her sister, Charlotte Taylor of Nashua, New Hampshire, and her loving grandson, Timothy B. Annino. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Thursday, June 24th at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 9. Interment is private.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

    To be a star, you must shne your oun light, follow your oun path, and don’t worry abut the darkness, for that is when stars shine BRIGHTEST!

    Phyllis was a strong and independent women, knew her own mine, showed love, humor, and courage, in her most difficult time.

    She will always be remembered.
