Young of Richardson, TX, Robert E. of Tewksbury, Gerald E. of Woburn, and Sean K. of Arlington. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, June 15th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. OBITUARY:

Thelma G. Kenny, a longtime Woburn resident, passed away in Wilmington early Saturday following a lengthy illness. Wife of the late Francis E. Kenny, who died ten years ago, she was eighty-nine.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Hugh B. and Samantha D. (Hatt) Freeman. She came to this area at the age of 19 and lived in Melrose for a time before taking up residence in North Woburn following her marriage.

Thelma attended the Shepherd Guild School of Practical Nursing and received her nurse’s training at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newbury. For over twenty years she worked as an LPN at the Glendale Nursing Home, which was located on Woburn’s West Side.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are six children: James B. of Wilmington, Virginia A. Ball of Arlington, Texas, Jane C. Young of Richardson, Texas, Robert E. of Tewksbury, Gerald E. of Woburn, and Sean K. of Arlington.

She was the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, June 15th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will be in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
