FRANCES E. (LANGILL) BALDWIN – in Jackson, TN, formerly of Woburn, December 17th. Beloved wife of the late Edward S. Baldwin. Devoted mother of Edward F. of Phoenix, AZ, and Larry J. of Jackson, TN. Sister of the late George Harold, Robert, Theodore “Ted”, Raymond “Red”, and Francis “Hub” Langill, and Ruth McDermott.Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, December 22nd, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Monday morning from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn. Donations may be made in Frances’ memory to Youth Town, PO Box 1385, Jackson, TN 38302, or to Murray Christian Fellowship, 1508 Chestnut Street, Murray, KY 42071.
OBITUARY:
Frances E. (Langill) Baldwin, a native of Woburn and longtime resident of the city, passed away in Jackson, Tennessee on Wednesday, December 17th, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Edward S. Baldwin, who died in 1967.
Born in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late George and Laura (Armstrong) Langill. She graduated from Woburn High School and lived here until the age of 65.
She worked for Gilford Instruments of Burlington, a company which later bought by Corning, from 1964 to 1979. She also served as Executive Secretary for the Woburn Chamber of Commerce for many years until 1967.
Mrs. Baldwin was also a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Woburn.
In 1979 she moved to Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, and since 1994 had made her home with her son in Tennessee.
In addition to her husband Edward, she was preceded in death by her six siblings: George Harold, Robert, Theodore “Ted”, Raymond “Red”, and Francis “Hub” Langill, and Ruth McDermott.
Surviving are two sons, Edward F. Baldwin and his wife Martha of Phoenix, Arizona, and Larry J. Baldwin and his wife Gail of Jackson, Tennessee. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

my deepest sympathy to the family. i am aunt lil’s great niece(richard and ruth’s daughter). i always enjoyed her sense of humor and have many fond memories of her while growing up. i’ve thought of her often over the years.
