TIMOTHY J. DURAN, JR.– age 49, in Woburn, December 10th. Devoted father of Jason Michael and Candace Marie, both of Woburn, and the late Sean Patrick Duran. Loving grandfather of Anthony Carullo, Jr. Beloved son of Rita B. (Connolly) Duran of Woburn and the late Timothy J. Duran. Dear brother of Ann M. DiMarzo of Leominster, Rita B. Murray of Hyannis, and M. Lauretta Nguyen and her husband Hung of Woburn. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, December 15th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10. OBITUARY:

Timothy J. Duran, Jr. of Woburn passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, December 10th, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was forty-nine years of age.

Born in Woburn, he was the son of Rita B. (Connolly) Duran of Woburn and the late Timothy J. Duran. He attended St. Charles Elementary School and graduated from Malden Catholic High School. After attending Boston College, he entered the U.S. Army and served from 1974 to 1976 as a Military Policeman.

Tim worked as a carpenter throughout his life, and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 111. For over twenty years he was employed in materials installation for Interstate Office Partitions.

Although he resided for a time in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Connecticut, he lived in Woburn for most of his life. He enjoyed reading and had a particular interest in military history.

Tim is remembered as a person who did whatever he could for family and friends and was always a source of help and support.

He was preceded in death by a son, Sean Patrick Duran, and his father, Timothy Duran, Sr.

Surviving are a son, Jason Michael, and a daughter, Candace Marie, both of Woburn, and a grandson, Anthony Carullo, Jr., his mother, Rita B. (Connolly) Duran of Woburn, and three sisters, Ann M. DiMarzo of Leominster, Rita B. Murray of Hyannis, and M. Lauretta Nguyen and her husband Hung of Woburn.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, December 15th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.
