THERESA L. (MARINO) O’LEARY – in Woburn, August 21st, beloved wife of Paul J. O’Leary. Devoted mother of Paul T. O’Leary of Charlestown, Peter J. O’Leary and his wife Mary of S. Boston, and Stephen M. O’Leary of Somerville. Loving daughter of Thelma (Taylor) Marino of Woburn, formerly of Somerville, and the late Anthony Marino. Dear sister of Jon Marino of Marblehead, Tony Marino of Tewksbury, and the late Jean Marino. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, August 25th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Theresa’s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.

OBITUARY:

Theresa L. O’Leary, a resident of Woburn’s West Side, passed away at her home Thursday evening, August 21st, following a long illness. The wife of Paul J. O’Leary, she was sixty-eight years of age.

Mrs. O’Leary grew up in the Davis Square section of Somerville, daughter of Thelma Taylor) Marino, who now lives in Woburn, and the late Anthony Marino. She was a 1952 graduate of Somerville High School. She had made her home in Woburn since her marriage over forty-one years ago.

In early years she was employed by John Hancock Insurance Company. She later worked part-time for Dr. Daniel Friedlander in Woburn for a number of years, retiring in 1997.

In addition to caring for her family, she spent a great deal of her time volunteering. She was active in St. Barbara’s parish and helping the Little Sisters of the Poor in Somerville.

Along with her father, Anthony, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Marino.

In addition to her husband Paul and her mother, Theresa Marino, she is survived by three sons, Paul T. of Charlestown, Peter J. and his wife Mary of S. Boston, and Stephen M. of Somerville, and two brothers, Jon Marino of Marblehead and Tony Marino of Tewksbury.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, August 25th at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Sunday from 4 to 8.
