NICHOLAS A. BORSELLI – in Lexington, formerly of Woburn and Burlington, June 30th, beloved husband of the late Lorraine “Lolly??? (Nancimento) Borselli. Father of Pauline Kopka and her husband John of NC and Jacqueline Keesee of VA. Dear brother of Frank Borselli of Woburn, Theresa Younger and her husband Byron of CA, Gloria Vevoda of FL, Norma A. Pecora of Woburn, and the late Arthur Borselli. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Genevieve Borselli of AZ, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his dear friend, Peggy McNally of Wayland, and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, July 3rd, at 9 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Brigid’s Church, 2001 Mass. Ave., Lexington, at 10. Calling hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Nick’s memory to Minuteman Senior Services, 24 Third Ave., Burlington, MA 01803.

OBITUARY:

Nicholas A. Borselli of Lexington, a former Woburn resident, passed away at Emerson Hospital in Concord early Monday following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Lorraine “Lolly??? (Nancimento) Borselli, who died in 1976.

Born in Boston eighty-six years ago, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Minichiello) Borselli. He grew up in the Winnmere section of Burlington and Woburn, but attended school in Lexington and graduated from high school there.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Attaining the rank of First Lieutenant in the Army, he was responsible for training nurses in the medical corps in Okinawa.

For many years until his retirement at the age of seventy-four, he worked for General Electric Company as a purchasing agent. He was very involved with the union there, serving as an officer for a number of years.

He had made his home in Lexington for over fifty years.

In addition to his wife Lorraine, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Borselli

Surviving are two daughters, Pauline Kopka and her husband John of Herbert, North Carolina, and Jacqueline Keesee of Lynchburg, Virginia, a brother, Frank Borselli of Woburn, and three sisters, Theresa Younger and her husband Byron of El Dorado Hills, California, Gloria Vevoda of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Norma A. Pecora of Woburn. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Genevieve Borselli of Arizona, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his dear friend, Peggy McNally of Wayland, and many loving nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, July 3rd, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Brigid’s Church, 2001 Mass. Ave., Lexington, at 10. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m.

    I worked with Nick at GE in Medford,Ma, for many years and it has been my pleasure to have known and worked with him. He will be dearly missed and we offer our deepest sympathy.
