IRENE M. (CHAISSON) McLEAN – in Woburn, Saturday, June 7th , beloved wife of Paul E. McLean. Devoted mother of Robert and his wife Caril of Wakefield, Mary Jane Johnson of Winchester, William of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Cheryl Schedin and her late husband Ken of Lynnfield, Thomas and his wife Judith of Quincy and the late Daniel McLean. Dear sister of Jack Chaisson of Marblehead and the late Jerry and Phil Chaisson. Loving grandmother of eight grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, June 10th at 10:45 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 158 Washington Street, Winchester at 11:30. Calling hours Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery. Donations may be made in Irene’s memory to a charity of your choice.

OBITUARY:

Irene M. (Chaisson) McLean passed away unexpectedly at the Lahey Clinic on Saturday, June 7th. The beloved wife of Paul E. McLean, she was seventy eight years of age. Born in South Boston, Irene was the daughter of the late Phillip and May (Fitzgerald) Chaisson. Irene was raised in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School in 1941. Irene resided in Medford for a time before moving to Salem Street, Woburn in 1963. It was here that she and her husband Paul, to whom she was married for fifty-three years, made their home and raised their six children. Irene dedicated herself to her family and after the children had grown, she worked as a sales associate for Filene’s. For the past twenty years, Irene and Paul would travel to Lake Wales, Florida, a destination that they absolutely loved. They would reside in Florida during winter and return each summer to rejoin their children and more recently their eight grandchildren.

Irene was predeceased by her son, Daniel McLean, who passed away in 1986, and her brothers Jerry and Phillip Chaisson and her son-in-law Ken Schedin.

In addition to her husband Paul E. McLean, she is survived by her children Robert and his wife Caril of Wakefield, Mary Jane Johnson of Winchester, William of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Cheryl Schedin of Lynnfield, Thomas and his wife Judith of Quincy, her brother Jack Chaisson of Marblehead and eight grandchildren.

A fFuneral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, June 10th at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 158 Washington Street, Winchester at 11:30. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Irene’s memory to a charity of your choice.
