FRANCES M. (GILL) RILEY – in Woburn, Thursday, June 5th, beloved wife of the late Federick D. Riley. Devoted mother of Michael E. and his wife Kathleen of Reading, Joseph P. and his wife Betty of Stoneham, Thomas F. and Stephen G. both of Woburn. Dear sister of Mary Duggan, and the late George, John, Richard and Arthur Gill and loving sister-in-law of Mary Gill. Cherished grandmother of Emily, Meghan, Alexandra, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Scott, Lisa and Christopher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, June 11th at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Medford.

OBITUARY:

Frances M. (Gill) Riley passed away Thursday, June 5th, at the Harbor Rehabilitation Center in Wakefield. The beloved wife of the late Frederick D. Riley, she was eighty-four years of age. Born in Melrose, Frances was the daughter of the late George A. and Anna Marie (Tamburo) Gill. She was raised in Malden was a graduate of Malden High School. As a skilled bookkeeper, Frances work in the insurance business. She was employed at W.C. Ryan Insurance in Boston for a number of years and later for Nixdorf in Reading. In 1954, Frances and her husband Frederick, who passed away in 1972, moved to Woburn where they raised their four sons. She was devoted to her husband and her family and in later years she enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. In her leisure, Frances enjoyed craft shows in the area and could often be found planting in her garden.

In addition to her husband Frederick D. Riley, she was predeceased by her brothers George, John, Richard and Arthur Gill.

She is survived by her sons, Michael E. and his wife Kathleen of Reading, Joseph P. and his wife Betty of Stoneham, Thomas F. and Stephen G. Riley both of Woburn, her sister, Mary Duggan, her sister-in-law Mary Gill and eight grandchildren, Emily, Meghan, Alexandra, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Scott, Lisa and Christopher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
