ROBERT F. “BOBBY” SWEENEY in Woburn, Saturday, May 24th, beloved son of the late Charles L. Sr.and Marie (Canniff) Sweeney. Father of Edward, Jason, and Joshua Sweeney all of North Reading, Robert Sweeney Jr. and Wendy Sweeney-Brewer both of Wilmington, Shannon and Lorrie Sweeney both of Peabody. Dear brother of Elizabeth Beth??? Canada and Janice Berkeley both of Tewksbury, sister-in-law Lynn Sweeney of Woburn and the late Charles L. Jr. and Edward T. Sweeney. Grandfather of Cameron and Ryan Sweeney-Brewer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, May 28th, at 9:45 a.m. Calling hour Wednesday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church at 10. OBITUARY:
Robert F. Bobby??? Sweeney, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in West Roxbury, on Saturday, May 24th at the age of fifty four.
Born in Woburn, he was the son of the late Charles L. Sr. and Marie (Canniff) Sweeney. Bobby was a graduate of Woburn High School and entered the military after graduation to serve in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After the war, he returned to Woburn.
Bobby was the father of seven children and two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles L. Sr. and Marie (Canniff) Sweeney, Bobby was predeceased by his brothers, Charles L. Jr. and Edward T. Sweeney.
He is survived by his children, Edward of No. Reading, Robert Jr. and Wendy Sweeney-Brewer both of Wilmington, Jason of No. Reading, Shannon and Lorrie Sweeney both of Peabody and Joshua Sweeney of No. Reading, his sisters Elizabeth Beth??? Canada and Janice Berkeley both of Tewksbury, his sister-in-law Lynn Sweeney of Woburn and his grandchildren, Cameron and Ryan Sweeney-Brewer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
