Ingalls – in Woburn, Saturday, February 1st, Francis F. beloved husband of the late Anita (Weymouth) Ingalls. Devoted father of Michael of Woburn, Donald of Somerville, Marline of Woburn, William and Diane both of Wakefield, Francis Jr. and Catherine both of Woburn, Mark of NH and the late Robert Ingalls. Cherished Stepson of Doris Ingalls of Millbury. Dear brother of John Ingalls of Danvers, Theresa Maguire of Burlington, Catherine Carey of NH, Robin Ingalls of Cambridge, Marie Singer of Millbury and the late Clarence, Bernard, Edward and James Ingalls. Loving grandfather of eleven grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, February 5th at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Washington Street, East Woburn at 10. Calling hours Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. OBITUARY:

Francis F. Ingalls passed away Saturday, February 1st, after a lengthy illness. The beloved husband of the late Anita(Weymouth) Ingalls, he was seventy-three years of age.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary A. (Dubee) Ingalls. Francis was raised in Burlington and attended the Burlington schools. In addition, he attended school in Cambridge where he was trained as an auto mechanic. During the Korean War , he served in the Army as a mechanic.

Shortly after the war, Francis was employed by Lannan Brothers of Woburn. Following his employment at Lannan’s, he was hired by Holland Brothers, originally located on Park Street in Woburn. Holland Brothers eventually located in Billerica where he remained as a mechanic for over forty years.

Francis not only enjoyed working on cars, but he also traveled faithfully every Tuesday to Bonnell’s to find that “special??? auto for a member of his family. He was very devoted to his family and was especially close to his brother, John and his stepmother Doris, whom he visited faithfully every Sunday. In addition to his love for automobiles, Francis was a “jack of all trades???, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. He was also an avid stamp collector.

Francis was predeceased by his wife Anita (Weymouth) Desmond, his son Robert, and his brothers, Clarence, Bernard, Edward and James Ingalls.

He is survived by his children Michael of Woburn, Donald of Somerville, Marline of Woburn, William and Diane both of Wakefield, Francis Jr. and Catherine both of Woburn, Mark of NH, his Stepmother Doris Ingalls of Millbury, his brother John of Danvers, his sisters, Theresa Maguire of Burlington, Catherine Carey of NH, Robin Ingalls of Cambridge, Marie Singer of Millbury, eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, February 5th at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Washington Street, East Woburn at 10. Calling hours Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
