FOLAN, DOROTHY H. (CORBIERE)– in Wilmington, formerly of Woburn, December 15th, beloved wife of Dr. David W. Folan, Jr. Devoted mother of Kathleen F. Phillips and her husband Stephen of Wilmington, Mary E. Hogan of N. Chelmsford, Dorothy A. “Dotty??? Folan of Woburn, Patricia J. Loder of Pepperell, David W. Folan III and his wife Caroline of Thorndike, ME, and Dan W. Folan and his wife Erica of Andover. Sister of the late Frances Corbiere. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday evening, December 19th, from 4 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 9:30 a.m. in the Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill St., North Reading. OBITUARY:

Dorothy H. Folan, a resident of Woburn for most of her life, passed away in Wilmington early Sunday at the age of seventy-nine. She was the wife of Dr. David W. Folan, Jr. for the past fifty-four years.

Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle (Maguire) Corbiere. She grew up in East Longmeadow and graduated from high school there, and then attended business school. A veteran of World War II, she served in the Navy WAVES during the war. She held membership in the Old Ironsides organization.

Since her marriage in 1948, she lived with her family on Plympton Street until two years ago when she moved to Wilmington.

Preceding her in death was a sister, Frances Corbiere.

In addition to her husband David, she is survived by four daughters, Kathleen F. Phillips and her husband Stephen of Wilmington, Mary E. Hogan of N. Chelmsford, Dorothy A. “Dotty??? Folan of Woburn, and Patricia J. Loder of Pepperell, and two sons, David W. Folan III and his wife Caroline of Thorndike, ME, and Dan W. Folan and his wife Erica of Andover. She was also the beloved grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday evening, December 19th, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 9:30 a.m. in the Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill St., North Reading. (*Directions to church below)
