Nutile – in Nashua, formerly of Woburn, December 6th, Bernice M.V.(Pineau) beloved wife of Eugene F. Nutile. Devoted mother of Eugene J. and his wife Carolyn Nutile of Nashua, NH. Dear sister of Joseph Pineau of Woburn, Zelda Gilmore of NH, Murial Caldwell of Woburn, Alma Fulmer of Arlington, Eileen Meader of Melrose and the late Mary Tancretti, Raymond and Leo Pineau. Loving grandmother of five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, December 11th at 10:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, North Woburn at 11. Calling hours Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Bernice M.V. (Pineau) Nutile , formerly of Woburn passed away Friday, December 6th , at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. The beloved wife of Eugene F. Nutile, she was eighty-six years of age. Born in Watertown, CT, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Veronica (Pineau) Pineau. Bernice moved to Woburn at an early age and was a graduate of Woburn High School. After completing her education, she married her husband Eugene F. Nutile to whom she was very devoted and they enjoyed sixty-seven years together.

Bernice, affectionately known as “Mammy,” was a very nurturing woman, devoted to the needs of her husband, her son, Eugene, her friends and later in life her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished. She was a wonderful cook, especially her baked brownies and fudge. She enjoyed playing the organ and was an avid Bingo player. Of the many charities that Bernice was involved with, The Chapel, at the Gateway Manor in Nashua, was one of her favorite endeavors. Bernice and her husband Eugene’s efforts over the past ten years helped to refurbish the Chapel, opening its doors to all denominations.

Bernice was predeceased by her brothers Raymond and Leo Pineau and sister, Mary Tancretti.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene F. Nutile, her son Eugene J. and his wife Carolyn Nutile of Nashua, NH, her brother Joseph Pineau of Woburn, her sisters, Zelda Gilmore of NH, Murial Caldwell of Woburn, Alma Fulmer of Arlington and Eileen Meader of Melrose, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, December 11th at 10:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn at 11. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
