Dear sister of Edward “Ned??? Duffy, Robert Duffy, Marjorie Pizzo and Mary Fossey, all of Woburn, Francis Duffy of Arlington, and the late Esther Doherty and Charles, Joseph, John, and Thomas Duffy. Beloved grandmother of Matthew, Mark, and Rebecca Dooley, and Greg and Eric Odin. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, on Saturday, November 16th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 10. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Calling hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m.

OBITUARY:

Mildred A. (Duffy) Dooley, a native of Woburn who had made her home in Winchester since 1946, passed away on Wednesday, November 13th, following an illness of several months. The wife of the late John J. Dooley, who died in 1980, she was ninety-three years of age.

Born and raised in the South End of Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mary A. (O’Donnell) Duffy. She graduated from St. Charles High School, and took up residence in Winchester after her marriage in 1946.

Mrs. Dooley devoted herself to her family, and in more recent years enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Charles, Joseph, John, and Thomas Duffy, and a sister, Esther Doherty.

Surviving are her son, John J. Dooley, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Winchester, her daughter, Bette Odin of Winchester, three brothers, Francis “Frank??? Duffy of Arlington, Edward “Ned??? Duffy and Robert Duffy, both of Woburn; and two sisters, Marjorie Pizzo and Mary Fossey, both of Woburn.

She was also the beloved grandmother of Matthew, Mark, and Rebecca Dooley and Greg and Eric Odin.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, November 16th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 10. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
