Loving aunt of Patricia Coady, Mary Ellen Dwyer, Kathleen Giddings and Arthur McEleney all of Woburn. Dear friend of Elizabeth Kerrigan of Woburn. Also survived by several loving grandnieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, November 13th at 9:45 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Calling hour Wednesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. OBITUARY:

Eleanor L. McEleney, a lifelong Woburn resident who was a well-known nurse at the Choate Hospital for many years, passed away in Winchester at the age of eighty-eight.

Born and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Harrington) McEleney. She graduated from Woburn High School and received her degree in nursing from the Choate Hospital School of Nursing.

Known affectionately as “Miss Mac??? to her many friends and co-workers, she was a registered nurse at the Choate Memorial Hospital for over forty years, until retiring in the early 1970’s. She greatly enjoyed taking care of her home and spending time with her family, particularly her nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were three brothers, Francis, John, and Arthur McEleney, and a sister, Mary Kerrigan.

She was the loving aunt of Patricia Coady, Mary Ellen Dwyer, Kathleen Giddings and Arthur McEleney all of Woburn, and dear friend of Elizabeth Kerrigan of Woburn. She also leaves several beloved grandnieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, November 13th at 9:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m., prior to the mass.
