Cifra – in Woburn, Saturday, November 9th, Robert M. beloved son of the late Charles N. and Marguerite (Leverone) Cifra. Dear brother of Paul C. Cifra and his wife Gale of Bradford, MA , Charles N. Cifra of CT and Richard S. Cifra. Loving uncle of Jason, Christopher and Justin Cifra. Also survived by many close friends. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, November 12th at 10:15. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 11. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the Make A Wish Foundation, 295 Devonshire Street, Boston, MA 02110.

OBITUARY:

Robert M. Cifra, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away Saturday, November 9th at the Lahey Clinic. The beloved son of the late Charles N. and Marguerite (Leverone) Cifra, he was fifty-four years of age. Born in Somerville, he lived in Chelsea before moving to Woburn at the age of seven. He was educated in the Woburn Public Schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School in 1966.

After graduating, Robert secured a position with the Woburn School Department as a custodian. He worked for several years at the Altavesta School where he was very well liked by the staff and students. In addition to his work, Robert, an all around sports enthusiast, was also dedicated to Pop Warner Football. He was passionate about coaching and in December of 1984 took his team to the Russell Athletic Bowl in Alexander City, Alabama where his team was runner-up for the National Pop Warner Junior Midget Division. Robert was also a member of the Sons of Italy.

Although he will be remembered a as quiet and private man, he had many close friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles N.and Marguerite (Leverone) Cifra.

He is survived by his brothers, Paul C. Cifra and his wife Gale of Bradford, MA, Charles N. Cifra of CT and Richard S. Cifra, his nephews, Jason, Christopher and Justin Cifra and many dear friends.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Tuesday, November 12th at 10:15, followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 11. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Interment will be in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the Make A Wish Foundation, 295 Devonshire Street, Boston, MA 02110.
