Coughlin – in Woburn, formerly of Lynn, October 7th, Eleanor M. “Bootsie??? (Perrier), beloved wife of Robert J. Coughlin. Devoted mother of Frank Botta and his wife Ellie of Saugus, Toni Carballeira and husband Fernando of Londonderry, NH, Paul Botta and his wife Lisa of New Durham, NH, and the late Carol Brogna of Saugus. Stepmother of Robert J. Coughlin, Jr. Sister of Eugenia Lomas of Peabody and William Webb of Sturbridge. Also survived by 13 grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, October 9th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge St., Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mrs. Coughlin’s memory to the VNA Middlesex East, 607 North Avenue, Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.

OBITUARY:

Eleanor M. (Perrier) Coughlin, a resident of Woburn’s West Side for the past twenty years, passed away at her home Monday morning following a long illness. The wife of Robert J. Coughlin, she was seventy-two years of age.

Known affectionately to family and friends as “Bootsie???, she was born in Chelsea and raised in Revere, daughter of the late Leo A. and Eleanor D. (Green) Perrier. She graduated from Revere High School and lived in Lynn for many years before taking up residence in Woburn twenty years ago. For many years, ‘Bootsie’ was a hostess and manager for Zito’s Restaurant, which was located on Devonshire Street in Boston. She had previously been employed at the Continental Restaurant on Route 1.

Her priority in life was her family, and she took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was a daughter, Carol Brogna of Saugus.

Surviving in addition to her husband Bob are two sons, Frank Botta and his wife Ellie of Saugus and Paul Botta and his wife Lisa of New Durham, NH; a daughter, Toni Carballeira and her husband Fernando of Londonderry, NH; her stepson, Robert J. Coughlin, Jr., a sister, Eugenia Lomas of Peabody, and a brother, William Webb of Sturbridge. She was also the beloved grandmother of thirteen grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, October 9th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, at 10. Interment will take place in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
