A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28th, at 11:45 a.m. at Woodbrook Cemetery, Salem Street, Woburn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Mary F. Blakeney, a longtime resident of East Woburn, passed away Thursday evening, September 26th, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Roland V. Blakeney, who died in 1985.
Born in Wakefield eighty-five years ago, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Mazzapica) Bisso. She was educated in Wakefield and lived there until taking up residence with her family in Woburn in 1952. In her early years she worked at L.B. Evans in Wakefield.
Mrs. Blakeney enjoyed cooking and was very social, particularly enjoying spending time with her friends. A devoted mother and grandmother, she took great pleasure in being with her family. Her granddaughter was a very special part of her life.
Surviving are her daughter, Dianne Rich and her husband Robert of Woburn, her brother, Lawrence Bisso of Woburn, and her beloved granddaughter, Shireen Rich.
A graveside service will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 28th, at Woodbrook Cemetery, located on Salem Street in Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
