Bavuso, Michael S., – in Andover, formerly of Woburn, September 23rd, beloved husband of the late Rose M. (Barrone) Bavuso. Devoted father of Michele Lawrence and her husband Cliff of Andover, Cynthia Shaw and her husband David of Townsend, and Michael Bavuso, Jr. and his wife Kay of Clinton. Cherished grandfather of Eric and Kristen Lawrence, Robert and Rebecca Shaw, and Michael R. Bavuso. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, September 27th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. OBITUARY:

Michael S. Bavuso, a well-known Winchester businessman and Woburn resident, passed away at his home in Andover Monday evening, September 23rd, following a long illness. The husband of the late Rose M. (Barrone) Bavuso, who died in 1993, he was seventy-five years of age.

Born in Woburn, he was the son of the late Leo and Theresa (Nicalazo) Bavuso. He was educated in Woburn schools and lived here most of his life until moving to Andover in 1990.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

For twenty-eight years, Mr. Bavuso was the owner of Winchester Hardware and Paint, which was located on Swanton Street in Winchester. He retired more than twenty years ago.

He was a member of United Commercial Travelers.

Surviving are two daughters, Michele Lawrence and her husband Cliff of Andover and Cynthia Shaw and her husband David of Townsend; a son, Michael Bavuso, Jr. and his wife Kay of Clinton, and five beloved grandchildren: Eric Michael Lawrence and Kristen Joy Lawrence, Robert Michael Shaw and Rebecca Rose Shaw, and Michael Ross Bavuso.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday, September 27th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
