Francis J. Ricciardi

Francis J. Ricciardi passed away unexpectedly yesterday August 29th at the New England Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. Husband of the late Tess (Lee) Ricciardi he was seventy five years of age.

Born in Revere, he was the son of the late Paul and Elviera (Caldero) Ricciardi. Raised in Charlestown Mr. Ricciardi was a graduate of Charlestown High School and then continued on at Coyne Electrical where he achieved Master Electrician. As a Master Electrician, he worked for the Schraffes Candy Company for thirty-three years.

Although Mr. Ricciardi, loved playing golf and enjoyed cheering on the Boston Sports Teams, his greatest love was for his late wife Tess to whom he was happily married for forty years. He also had a passion for watching his grandchildren as they participated in different sporting events.

Mr. Ricciardi was a member of the Andover and Woburn Country Clubs, the Elks, and the Irish American Club and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife Tess (Lee) Ricciardi.

Surviving are his children, Mary Lawton and her husband Thomas and Paul Ricciardi and his wife Iris all of Woburn, his brother Joseph Ricciardi and his sisters Nancy Rizzo and Virginia Vita all of Medford, and his grandchildren Sandra Lee, Jamie and Tim Lawton.

Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Saturday, August 31st, at 11:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Barbara’s Church, Cambridge Road, Woburn at 12 noon. Calling hours will be on Friday, from 2 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mr. Ricciardi’s memory to the Woburn Boys and Girls Club, Charles Gardner Lane, Woburn, MA 01801.
