Majorie G. Hogan-Powers

Marjorie “Bud” G. (Mills) Hogan-Powers, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away Monday, July 1st, at the age of eighty-seven. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Hogan and Raymond Powers.

Born and raised in North Adams, she was the daughter of the late Warren W. and Maude (McCarthy) Mills. After her marriage she resided in Stoneham for a short while before moving to Woburn where she has lived for over forty years.

She was very devoted to her family and they spent many wonderful summers vacationing on Lake Winnesquam in NH. In addition to her family Marjorie worked as a nurses aide for over twenty years at the Choate Memorial Hospital. In her leisure time she was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and the Red Sox and had a great love for animals, especially her dog, “Jazzy”. She was truly an adventurous person, never turning down an opportunity to try something new.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, James E. Hogan and Raymond Powers, and her brothers Wilson and Russell Mills.

Surviving are her daughters, Jacqueline A. Mustone of Woburn, Carol Buonarosa and her husband Dom of NH, Lorraine M. Dunnett and her companion, Albert Cirone of Winchester and Patricia “Patty” J. Fletcher and her husband Edward of Tewksbury, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn on Wednesday, July 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
