O’Keeffe – of Woburn, formerly of the West End of Boston, June 19th, Isabel J. (Sciarrio), beloved wife of the late Edward C. O’Keeffe, Sr. Devoted mother of Edward C. Jr. and his wife Linda of VA, Francis W. and his wife Dorothy of Reading, and Daniel F. and his wife Jan of Woburn. Sister of Daniel Sharrio of FL, Mary Gangi, Theresa Gangi, and Barbara Gentile, all of Woburn, William Sharrio of Melrose, and the late Gerard Sciarrio. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Kathy Hicks and Edward, Robert, Nathan, Shaun, and Meredith O’Keeffe, and a great-grandson, Joshua Toombs. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, on Saturday, June 22nd, at 8:15 a.m. Funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 9. Calling hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Isabel’s memory to the Immaculate Conception Restoration Fund, 1004 Main St., Winchester, MA 01890.

Isabel J. O’Keeffe, a resident of the South End of Woburn for many years, passed away in Winchester on Wednesday morning following a long illness. The wife of the late Edward C. O’Keeffe, Sr., who died three years ago, she was 80 years of age.

Born in the West End of Boston, she was the daughter of the late Orazio and Rachel (Pemmacchio) Sciarrio. She graduated from high school in Boston and took up residence in Woburn with her husband in 1957. She worked as a bookkeeper for various firms throughout her life, and most recently did bookkeeping for her son’s service station business, O’Keeffe’s Citgo, in Winchester. She had been retired for the past ten years.

Mrs. O’Keeffe was very active with the Ladies Sodality and other programs at the Immaculate Conception Church in Winchester, and remained involved with the West End Club of Boston.

In addition to her husband Edward, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerard Sciarrio.

Surviving are three sons, Edward C., Jr. and his wife Linda of Virginia, Francis W. and his wife Dorothy of Reading, and Daniel F. and his wife Jan of Woburn;

Two brothers, Daniel Sharrio of Florida and William Sharrio of Melrose, and three sisters, Mary Gangi, Theresa Gangi, and Barbara Gentile, all of Woburn.

She was also the beloved grandmother of Kathy Hicks and Edward, Robert, Nathan, Shaun, and Meredith O’Keeffe, and her great-grandson, Joshua Toombs.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, on Saturday, June 22nd, at 8:15 a.m., followed by afuneral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 9. Interment will be in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are on Friday 4 to 8 p.m.
