Baudanza – in Woburn, Wednesday, June 5th, Joseph C. Jr., beloved son of the late Joseph C. and Helen R.(Murphy) Baudanza. Dear nephew of Claire M. Quinn of Arlington. Loving cousin of Thomas W. Murphy, Richard M. Quinn, John T. Quinn, and Robert W. Quinn. Also survived by his uncles John and Anthony Baudanza, his aunt Josephine Fiore and many cousins. Joseph also leaves many kind associates, devoted friends and neighbors. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, June 8th at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10 a.m. Calling hours Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, 01801 and Hospice Care, Inc., Stoneham, MA 02180.

OBITUARY:

Joseph C. Baudanza, Jr, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center on Wednesday, June 5th.

The son of the late Joseph C. and Helen R. (Murphy) Baudanza, he was sixty-five years of age. Born in Woburn, Joe attended St. Charles School and went on to graduate from Woburn High School in 1955. After graduating he went to work for the City of Woburn, Public Works Department where he held a number of different positions. In 1958, Joe entered the Army National Guard, where he served for three years. Joe was an active member of the Towanda Club of Woburn and served as its past president. His interests included baseball which he played throughout his life including youth baseball leagues and later industrial teams. His favorite players included the greats, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio. Joe also enjoyed listening to the music of Frank Sinatra.

Mr. Baudanza is survived by his aunts. Claire M. Quinn of Arlington and Josephine Fiore, his uncles John and Anthony Baudanza and his cousins, Thomas W. Murphy, Richard M. Quinn, John T. Quinn and Robert W. Quinn. He also leaves many more cousins, devoted friends and kind associates. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, June 8th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn at 10. Calling hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Joe’s memory to St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, 01801, or Hospice Care, Inc., 41 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham, MA 02180.
