Mogauro, Susie (Garbino) – in Winchester, June 1st, beloved wife of the late James Mogauro. Devoted mother of Patrick J. and his wife Jennie and William A. and his wife Norma, all of Woburn, and Vincent and his wife Cheryl of Florida. Dear sister of Lucy DeMasi, Mary Arena, and James Garbino, all of Woburn, and the late Clara Sheehan, Theresa Muise, Albert Grady, and Thomas Garbino. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, June 5th, at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 9. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Assn., 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.

OBITUARY:

Susie Mogauro, a longtime Winchester resident, passed away at Winchester Nursing Center early Saturday morning following a lengthy illness. The wife of the late James Mogauro, who died many years ago, she was ninety-four years of age.

Born in Montebello, Italy, in 1907, she was the daughter of the late Biaggio and Grace (Acciero) Garbino. She came to this country with her parents at an early age and settled in Winchester, where she attended school. Following her marriage, she lived with her family in East Boston and Chelsea for a number of years before coming back to live in Winchester.

She was a member of the Winchester Sons of Italy and the Ladies Lodge Sons of Italy.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband James, were two brothers, Albert Grady and Thomas Garbino, and two sisters, Clara Sheehan and Theresa Muise.

Surviving are three sons: Patrick J. Mogauro and his wife Jennie of Woburn, William A. Mogauro and his wife Norma, all of Woburn, and Vincent Mogauro and his wife Cheryl of Florida; two sisters, Lucy DeMasi and Mary Arena, both of Woburn, and a brother, James Garbino of Woburn.

She was also the beloved grandmother of twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, June 5th, at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 9. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mrs. Mogauro’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.
