Turner – in Woburn, June 1st, Mary M. (Gallagher), beloved wife of the late John O. Turner. Devoted mother of Paula E. Sykes of Billerica and Andrea T. Meehan and her husband Paul J. of Andover. Dear sister of Emily Bartkiewicz of CA. Also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street (Route 38), Woburn, on Thursday, June 6th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell.

OBITUARY:

Mary M. Turner, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away in Winchester Saturday evening following an extended illness. The wife of the late John O. Turner, who died in 1964, she was seventy-nine years of age.

Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Morris P. and Josephine (Quinn) Gallagher. She was raised and educated in Lowell and later Woburn.

In earlier years, she worked as a nurse in the labor and delivery room at the Choate Hospital in Woburn.

Mary was very close to her family, and enjoyed reading, baking, and particularly spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Paula E. Sykes of Billerica and Andrea T. Meehan and her husband Paul J. of Andover; a sister, Emily Bartkiewicz of California, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, June 6th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Lowell.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
