Taylor of Nashua, and Gregory A. Taylor and his wife Janice of Billerica. Dear brother of Florence Margeson of MI, William A. Taylor and his wife Janice of Peabody, and the late Eben and Robert Taylor, Anna Brousseau, Mary Lewis, Pauline McKnight, and Helen Nielsen. Stepbrother of George Taylor of FL and the late Dorothy White and Raymond and Frederick Taylor. Loving grandfather of Michael, Kevin, Krista and William Taylor, Charlotte French, Melissa, Jessica, and Matthew Taylor, Shaun and Ashley Taylor, and Brian, Joseph, Joshua, and Matthew Taylor. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, May 20th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.

OBITUARY:

Charles L. Taylor of Nashua, NH, a resident of Woburn most of his life, passed away Thursday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua after a brief illness. The husband of Charlotte M. (Cossette) Taylor, he was seventy-four.

Born in Woburn, he was the son of the late Eben and Anna (Dunnigan) Taylor. He attended Woburn schools and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army during the occupation.

Mr. Taylor resided in Woburn with his family until eleven years ago, when he moved to Nashua. He worked as an auto parts salesman for Concord Auto Parts for many years, and later for E.T.W. in Woburn until his retirement nine years ago. He was a member of the VFW Post 543 in Woburn.

An avid sports fan, he particularly enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Eben and Robert Taylor, four sisters, Anna Brousseau, Mary Lewis, Pauline McKnight, and Helen Nielsen; two stepbrothers, Raymond and Frederick Taylor, and his stepsister, Dorothy White.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years, Charlotte, are six children, Michael Taylor and his wife Donna of Tewksbury, Janice Fay and her husband Frank of Alton, NH, Mark S. Taylor of Woburn, Karen E. Taylor of Nashua, Gregory A. Taylor and his wife Janice of Billerica, and Brian J. Taylor of Alton, NH;

A sister, Florence Margeson of Michigan, a brother, William A. Taylor and his wife Janice of Peabody, and his stepbrother, George Taylor of Florida.

He also leaves fourteen grandchildren: Michael, Kevin, Krista and William Taylor, Charlotte French, Melissa, Jessica, and Matthew Taylor, Shaun and Ashley Taylor, and Brian, Joseph, Joshua, and Matthew Taylor.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Monday, May 20th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mr. Taylor’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
