Flaherty – in Woburn, May 3rd, Dorothy M. (Connolly), beloved wife of Richard P. Flaherty. Devoted mother of Amy F. Jones and her husband Kevin of Victorville, CA, Beth M. Flaherty of Woburn, and Kate C. Walsh and her husband Dennis of Weymouth. Dear sister of Henry J. Connolly and his wife Wendy of Peabody. Also survived by two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Sarah Jones. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn, on Tuesday, May 7th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mrs. Flaherty’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

OBITUARY:

Dorothy M. Flaherty of Woburn passed away at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston early this morning following an illness of several months. The wife of Richard P. Flaherty for nearly thirty-four years, she was fifty-five.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Dorothy M. (Maguire) Connolly. She was raised and educated in Boston, graduating from Jeremiah Burke High School with the class of 1964. She and her husband lived in Billerica for a few years before taking up residence in Woburn twenty-nine years ago.

Mrs. Flaherty worked for Yale Electric in Boston as a customer service representative for three years until just a few months ago. Previously she was employed by Woburn Answering Service for a number of years.

Surviving in addition to her husband Richard are three daughters, Amy F. Jones and her husband Kevin of Victorville, CA, Beth M. Flaherty of Woburn, and Kate C. Walsh and her husband Dennis of Weymouth; her brother, Henry J. Connolly and his wife Wendy of Peabody, and two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Sarah Jones.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, May 7th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mrs. Flaherty’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
