Blanks – of Woburn, April 2nd, Aleksandrs, beloved husband of Milda-Marija (Krumins) Blanks. Brother of the late Janis Blanks of England. Uncle of Glyn Blanks and his wife Rosemary of N. Andover. Also survived by his grandnephews, Adam and Nicholas Blanks, and grandniece, Ashley Blanks. A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, April 4th, at 11 a.m. Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2 p.m. on Thursday. Please omit flowers. Late U.S. Army veteran, Korean War.

OBITUARY:

A funeral service will be held Thursday for Aleksandrs Blanks, a native of Latvia who had made his home in Woburn for more than thirty-four years. Mr. Blanks passed away Tuesday following a long illness at the age of seventy-four. He was the husband of Milda-Marija (Krumins) Blanks.

Born and raised in Latvia, he was the son of the late Janis and Julliana (Eks) Blanks. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Blanks worked for many years as a Facilities Engineer for Mitre Corporation in Bedford until his retirement in 1989.

He was the brother of the late Janis Blanks of England.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a nephew, Glyn Blanks and his wife Rosemary of N. Andover. He was also the grand-uncle of Adam, Nicholas, and Ashley Blanks.

A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, April 3rd, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Theodore Asta of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial will take place at the Masschusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2 o’clock on Thursday.

It has been requested that flowers be omitted.
