LaCasse – in Woburn, February 20th, Wilfred E. “Bill???, beloved husband of Pearl V. (Gaffney) LaCasse. Devoted father of David M. LaCasse of NJ and Mary Ann Carpenter of FL. Brother of Doris Keene of NH, Helen Scire of Woburn, Laurence LaCasse of Wilmington, Geraldine Corwin of AZ, and the late Paul, James, Donald, and Kenneth LaCasse and Irene Crouch. Also survived by two grandchildren, Caitlin and BJ Carpenter. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, at 2 p.m. in Woodbrook Cemetery, Salem Street, Woburn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.

OBITUARY:

Wilfred E. LaCasse, known to family and friends as “Bill”, passed away in Wilmington Wednesday evening following a lengthy illness. The husband of Pearl V. (Gaffney) LaCasse for the past forty-seven years, he was seventy years of age.

Born and educated in Woburn, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Irene (Kehoe) LaCasse. He lived his entire life in Woburn, and worked for Sweetheart Plastics until he retired ten years ago.

He was an avid fisherman who particularly enjoyed Horn Pond.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, James, Donald, and Kenneth LaCasse, and a sister, Irene Crouch.

Surviving in addition to his wife Pearl are a son, David M. LaCasse of New Jersey, and a daughter, Mary Ann Carpenter of Florida; three sisters, Doris Keene of New Hampshire, Helen Scire of Woburn, and Geraldine Corwin of Arizona; and a brother, Laurence LaCasse of Wilmington.

He also leaves two grandchildren, Caitlin and B.J. Carpenter.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, at Woodbrook Cemetery, Salem Street, Woburn, at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
