Cronin, Marilyn L. (Meaney) – in Burlington, formerly of Woburn, February 17th, beloved wife of Robert W. Cronin. Devoted mother of Robert F. Cronin and his wife Kathleen (Monahan) of Lowell. Dear sister of Richard, Paul, Stephen, Virginia Meaney and Sally Wasnock, all of Woburn. Loving grandmother of Kaitlin, Brenden and Shannon Cronin. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn Street, Burlington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours, and interment is private. Donations may be made in Marilyn’s memory to the St. Margaret’s Building Fund, 111 Winn Street, Burlington, MA 01803. Arrangements are being handled by the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn.

OBITUARY:

Marilyn L. (Meaney) Cronin of Burlington, a former resident of Woburn, died on Sunday, February 17th, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Robert W. Cronin.

Born 72 years ago in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marion (Mealey) Meaney. She moved to Burlington with her family at a very early age, and attended St. Charles Elementary and High School.

After graduating from high school, Mrs. Cronin worked as a waitress at the White Spot at Four Corners in Woburn. When she married, she and her husband settled in Woburn where she remained, dedicated to raising and caring for her family.

In 1971, she and her husband moved back to Burlington.

In addition to Robert, her husband of 41 years, Mrs. Cronin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert F. and Kathleen (Monahan) Cronin of Lowell. She leaves four brothers, Francis, Richard, Paul, and Stephen Meaney, all of Woburn; and two sisters, Virginia Meaney and Sally Wasnock, both of Woburn. Mrs. Cronin is further survived by her grandchildren: Kaitlin, Brenden, and Shannon Cronin.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, February 21st, at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn Street, Burlington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
