Chebba, William F. – of Woburn, February 9th, beloved husband of Susan J. (DeVito) Chebba. Devoted father of Robin Chebba of FL. Son of the late William J. Chebba, and stepson of Jane (Greene) Chebba of Woburn. Brother of Darlene M. Mahoney of Burlington, Paul R. Chebba of Hampton, NH, Tammy M. Harrison of Methuen, Gail E. Page of Woburn, and the late Michael Chebba. Grandfather of Amber Chebba of FL. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, February 14th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Billy’s memory to Hospice Care, Inc., 41 Montvale Ave., Stoneham, MA 02180.

OBITUARY:

William F. Chebba, 53 ,a resident of Woburn for most of his life, died on Saturday, February 9th, at his home in Stoneham following a long illness. He was the husband of Susan J. (DeVito) Chebba for the past twenty years.

He was born in Boston, the son of the late William Chebba and Helen (Culver) Chebba. He graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1966, where he played baseball and basketball. He served as co-captain of his high school basketball team.

For a number of years, Bill worked for Dole and Bailey of Woburn as a driver, and also worked as a roofer for Coughlin Construction.

He was an active member of YMCA in Woburn, and volunteered his time at Winchester Hospital, where he particularly enjoyed working with the elderly.

Surviving in addition to his wife Susan are his daughter, Robin Chebba of Florida, his stepmother, Jane Chebba of Woburn, three sisters, Darlene M. Mahoney of Burlington, Tammy M. Harrison of Methuen, and Gail E. Page of Woburn; a brother, Paul R. Chebba of Hampton, NH, and his granddaughter, Amber Chebba of Florida.

Preceding him in death was his brother, Michael Chebba.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, February 14th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
