Winn – in Woburn, February 6th, Jeanne G. (Garvey), beloved wife of the late Robert M. Winn. Devoted mother of Brian A. Winn, Deborah Winn-Robinson and her husband Don Robinson, Marcia Libbey and her husband George, Jeannie Fitzpatrick, Allison Ray and her husband Jody, Michelle Doherty and her husband Brian, all of Woburn, Jacqueline Mahoney and her husband Jack of Wakefield, and the late Robert M. Winn, Jr. Loving sister of Dorothy Haggerty and Mary Doucette, both of Winchester, Eileen Regan, Geraldine Cantillon, and Paul and Robert Garvey, all of Woburn, and the late Ruth Carroll, Marion Hall, and Austin and Ralph Garvey. Also survived by nineteen grandchildren.

Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, February 9th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Jeanne’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

OBITUARY:

Jeanne G. Winn, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away on Wednesday, February 6th, in Brighton after having been in ill health for the past year. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Winn, who died in 1985.

She was born Woburn seventy-four years ago, the daughter of the late Austin and Eileen (Riley) Garvey. She attended Woburn schools and graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1944.

A loving mother of eight children and nineteen grandchildren, she was devoted to her family. She enjoyed summers with her family in Seabrook, New Hampshire for over fifty years, and maintained many lifelong friendships through the time she spent there. She loved to cook and was famous for her desserts. She was also an avid reader and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Bob, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert M. “Robbie” Winn, Jr., two brothers, Austin and Ralph Garvey, and two sisters, Ruth Carroll and Marion “Nina” Hall.

Surviving are six daughters: Deborah Winn-Robinson and her husband Don, Marcia Libbey and her husband George, Jeannie Fitzpatrick, Allison Ray and her husband Jody, and Michelle Doherty and her husband Brian, all of Woburn, and Jacqueline Mahoney and her husband Jack of Wakefield; a son, Brian A. Winn of Woburn; two brothers, Paul and Robert Garvey, both of Woburn; and four sisters, Dorothy Haggerty and Mary Doucette, both of Winchester, and Eileen Regan and Geraldine Cantillon, both of Woburn.

She also leaves nineteen beloved grandchildren and her special brothers-in-law, Bob Carroll and Gus Cantillon.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, February 9th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles

Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
