Noyes – In Woburn, formerly of Somerville, January 30th, Edward C. beloved husband of the late Helen B. (Fitzgerald) Noyes. Devoted father of Carol A. Templeton of Malden, Helen M. Schilz of Chester, NH, and Marilyn Ebrecht of Woburn. Brother of Ernest C. Noyes of FL and the late Arthur R. Noyes. Also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street (Rt. 38), Woburn, on Saturday, February 2nd, at 10:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 11. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Calling hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.

OBITUARY:

Edward C. Noyes, father of Woburn resident Lyn Ebrecht, passed away in Wilmington Wednesday evening, January 30th, following a lengthy illness. The husband of the late Helen B. (Fitzgerald) Noyes, who died in 1983, he was ninety-one years of age.

Born in England, he was the son of the late Chester A. and Elizabeth (Couch) Noyes. He lived in Somerville for many years before moving to Florida following his retirement.

Mr. Noyes worked as a machinist for United Carr, which later became United Carr Fasteners, throughout his life. He worked in Cambridge and later in Burlington, retiring after forty-four years.

In addition to his wife Helen, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur R. Noyes.

Surviving are three daughters, Carol A. Templeton of Malden, Helen M. Schilz of Chester, NH, and Marilyn Ebrecht of Woburn; and a brother, Ernest C. Noyes of Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, February 2nd, at 10:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 11. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mr. Noyes’ memory to the charity of one’s choice.
