Devoted mother of Charlene Khane of Seattle, WA, and Anne Smith of Freeport, ME. Sister of the late Arthur, Mary, and Charles Haggerty, Jr., and the late Kathleen Pecora. Dear grandmother of Abigail, Richard, and Julia Smith and Jessica Khane. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, February 2nd, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 10. Calling hours Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mrs. Lynch’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Disease Assocation, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.

OBITUARY:

Evelyn G. Lynch, a longtime resident of Woburn and Winchester, passed away at Sedgewood Common in Falmouth, Maine, late Monday evening following an extended illness. The wife of the late Richard D. Lynch, who died in 1976, she was eighty-three.

Born in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary E. (Flaherty) Haggerty. She grew up in Winchester, graduating from St. Mary’s School. Following her marriage, she moved with her husband to Woburn where they resided on the West Side for many years.

For a number of years, Mrs. Lynch worked part-time at Filene’s Department Store. In 1997, she moved to Freeport, Maine, with her daughter Anne.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Arthur Haggerty and Charles F. Haggerty, Jr., and two sisters, Mary A. Haggerty, Kathleen Pecora.

Surviving are her two daughters, Charlene Khane of Seattle, Washington and Anne Smith of Freeport, Maine.

She was also the beloved grandmother of Abigail, Richard, and Julia Smith, and Jessica Khane.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, February 2nd, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 79 Sheridan Circle, Winchester, at 10. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mrs. Lynch’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.
