Corsetti – in Woburn, January 16th, Dorothy J. “Dolly” (Cardaleen), beloved wife of Amata A. “Hamel” Corsetti. Devoted mother of Bernard J. “Bernie” Corsetti and his wife Karen of Gilbert, AZ, Carmen A. Corsetti of Woburn, and Rachelle Avola and her husband Alexander of Woburn. Loving sister of Marion Galante and her husband Albert of Woburn and the late John and Paul Cardaleen. Also survived by three grandchildren: Audrey Maguire, Deborah Salamone, and Stephanie Finn, and three great-grandchildren, Shannon, Michael, and Justin Maguire, and Sam Salamone. Dear friend of Joe Medeiros and Pat Spinazola. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, January 19th, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Calling hours Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mrs. Corestti’s memory to Hospice Care, Inc., 41 Montvale Ave., Stoneham, MA 02180.

OBITUARY:

Dorothy J. Corsetti, a lifelong Woburn resident, passed away at her home in North Woburn Wednesday evening at the age of eighty-four. She had been married to her childhood sweetheart, Amato A. “Hamel” Corsetti for over sixty-two years.

Born in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Capucci) Cardaleen. She attended Woburn schools and graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1936.

Mrs. Corsetti, known affectionately as “Dolly”, was known to many of Woburn’s schoolchildren as the cook at several elementary schools for a period of over fifteen years. She worked at the Wyman, Linscott, and the Altavesta Schools, retiring nearly twenty years ago.

An active member of St. Anthony parish in North Woburn, she participated over the years in the St. Anthony feast days, the Ladies Sodality, and St. Anthony Club.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, John and Paul Cardaleen.

Surviving in addition to her husband Hamel are two sons, Bernard J. “Bernie” Corsetti and his wife Karen of Gilbert, Arizona, and Carmen A. Corsetti of Woburn;

A daughter, Rachelle Avola and her husband Alexander of Woburn;

a sister, Marion Galante and her husband Albert;

three grandchildren: Audrey Maguire, Deborah Salamone, and Stephanie Finn;

and four great-grandchildren, Shannon, Michael, and Justin Maguire and Sam Salamone.

She also leaves her dear friends, Joe Medeiros and Pat Spinazola, and many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, January 19th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
