Norton – in Woburn, May 9th, 2001, Thomas E.H., beloved husband of Frances C. (Roscillo) Norton. Devoted father of Patrick R. Norton of Mystic, CT, and Elaine Norton Linscott of Reading. Brother of the late Dorothea Norton Schwarz and the late Jack Norton. Cherished grandfather of Daniel and Ian Linscott and Michele Creech, and great-grandfather of Danielle, Craig, and Peter Linscott, Michael Norton, and Amber, Destiny, and Bray Creech. Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, May 12th, at 7:45 a.m. Funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 8:30. Calling hours Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Donations may be made in Mr. Norton’s memory to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101. OBITUARY:

Thomas E.H. Norton of Woburn passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 9th, at the age of 84. He was the husband of Frances C. (Roscillo) Norton for over sixty-two years.

Born in Charlestown, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Mary T. (Clancy) Norton. He grew up in Melrose and graduated from Reading High School.

A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre of Operations.

Since 1938, he and his family had resided in Woburn. He worked for many years as a function manager for the Museum of Science until his retirement.

A history buff, he also enjoyed working around his home, reading, puzzles, and playing chess.

Mr. Norton was predeceased by a brother, Jack Norton, and a sister, Dorothea Norton Schwarz.

In addition to his wife Frances, he is survived by a son, Patrick R. Norton of Mystic, Connecticut, and a daughter, Elaine Norton Linscott of Reading;

three grandchildren: Daniel and Ian Linscott, and Michele Creech;

seven great-grandchildren, Danielle, Craig, and Peter Linscott, and Michael Norton, Amber, Destiny, and Bray Creech.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Saturday, May 12th, at 7:45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, at 8:30. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mr. Norton’s memory to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.
